40 Finalists Shortlisted for EACA Euro Effies 2012
20 June 2012 -Brussels 20 June 2012: An international jury has selected the 40 finalists to go through to the second round of judging in this year's EACA Euro Effies, the gold standard in commercial communications effectiveness.
The 2012 shortlist represents work from 34 agency groups from 13 different countries. Germany dominates the shortlist with 11 campaigns followed by the United Kingdom with 10, France with 4, Switzerland with 3, Czech Republic, Netherlands & USA with 2 each and Turkey, Spain, Ukraine, Slovakia, Sweden & Belgium with one campaign each.
On 29 June, a new panel of 26 senior judges, chaired by Pierre Woreczek, Senior Vice President of Brand Strategy at McDonald's Europe, will meet to review the shortlisted campaigns, consider the evidence of results (80%) and creative work (20%) and decide the winners of this year's Euro Effie awards, including the prestigious Agency Network of the Year Award, currently held by The Brooklyn Brothers and Islenska.
The winners of this year's competition will be announced on the evening of Wednesday 19 September 2012 at the Awards Gala in Brussels' Viage. Winners will also be announced on the official website www.euro-effie.com on 20 September 2012.
The Euro Effies Awards are organised by EACA, in partnership with EuroNews and supported by European and international media, advertisers and associations such as TIME and Fortune, WARC, PrintPower, Facebook, AdForum, Procter & Gamble, European Publisher's Council, Viva Xpress International and creativebrief.
