"I love print because we are not beholden to print. Although it still able to surprise, the technology is largely proven. Heads are not turned because of the medium, but because the art of advertising has harnessed the qualities of the medium with sometimes breathtaking results-now, as it did then", declares Al Moseley-President of the AdPrint Festival 2012 ADVERTISING ANGELS Jury.
Given the recent unfavourable context for both print media and print advertising, AdPrint started the fight to keep the print alive. Therefore, AdPrint launches a call for great print.
AdPrint has come up with a challenge for advertising agencies around Europe to keep the entire print industry alive and to encourage good craft in print advertising.
We are looking for the support of the big publishers accross Europe and from our media partners in order to give wings to print. Our message should be powerfull enough to convince as many publishers as possible to publish our print promoting ads.
59 advertising agencies and individuals from 20 countries submitted 575 works in this year's AdPrint competition. All the winning works will appear in a special feature of Lurzer's Archive and will be shown in a special exhibition held by the National Art Museum in Romania in July.
